CLÉRIGOS TOWER UNVEILS NEW BRAND ON JULY 18

WITH A NORTHERN ACCENT… CLÉRIGOS TOWER UNVEILS NEW BRAND ON JULY 18
Built in the 18th century, Clérigos Tower is preparing for a rejuvenation that will bring it even closer to the city as a proud landmark for both national and international tourists. The presentation day will feature a videomapping show and music by DJ Father Guilherme, symbolizing the monument’s connection to everyone, everyone, everyone.
A monument that projects the city of Porto both to nearby geographies and to faraway lands, Clérigos Tower is preparing for a new leap in its promotion with the rebranding that the Clérigos Brotherhood has decided to undertake.
In the new, bolder logo inspired by Porto’s connection with the architectural ensemble created by Nicolau Nasoni in the 18th century, the Tower “converses” with the city’s visitors and presents itself as more dynamic.
“We want to offer a faster and more agile perception of what Clérigos Tower represents, not just as a historical monument and church, but as a must-visit, touristic, and cultural site, with a lot of dynamism, with life, and that directly engages with people and the contemporary technologies of their lives,” explains António Tavares, the executive director of Clérigos Tower. “At a time when we have already surpassed eight million visitors since the major renovations carried out in 2014, we felt this was the right moment to renew the brand of the Clérigos architectural complex,” he concludes.
Father Manuel Fernando, president of the Clérigos Brotherhood, adds that “Clérigos Tower is an inalienable part of Porto’s history and the lives of its citizens over the centuries. This connection was the starting point for the new image we will unveil on the 18th, which will ‘speak’ to the different audiences that visit us. We want the new brand to keep pace with the dynamism of the cultural activities and events that make this a monument for everyone, everyone, everyone.”
The unveiling of this 21st-century logo, created by Ricardo Daniel’s studio, is scheduled for the 18th. Illuminating the tower between 9:00 PM and 11:00 PM, a grand videomapping show, created by the creative studio O CUBO, will also feature a set of music by DJ Father Guilherme.
